Welcome to the tutorial for the Finance module of NutriPlanner Zest.

The Finance module, which integrates closely with the Mise-en-place module, provides a number of finance-oriented tools to help the caterer or operator manage the commercial aspects of a business.

The Finance module includes:

• Supplier invoice matching
• Recording of overhead payments
• Entering of receipts
• Staff records and timesheet entry
• Cash float reconciliation
• Reports to help you keep track of costs and profit

Each of the above tools is self-contained and can be used in isolation if desired, however the biggest advantage is gained by using all of the tools. The Finance module can then, via its suite of reports, provide up-to-the-minute information about the business' financial health and performance.

If you are new to the system and haven't yet "found your way around it" then it is recommended that you start with the Introduction section of the Mise-en-place tutorial, which covers some basic concepts that apply equally to the Finance module as well. You can then return to this tutorial to continue learning about the Finance tools.
