The menu header.

At the top of the menu detail page is the menu header.

The header contains three pieces of information that will identify the menu and make it easier to identify and also to select when carrying out various actions on it later on.

• The title. This can be any descriptive text you wish to enter.
  
• The menu date. This is strictly speaking optional but the date is used by many of the other actions you can carry out with menus to select them. Unless you enter a date you will not be able to select the menu in those other features.
  
• Meal time. This is also optional (it can be left blank) and is only really necessary if you have more than one menu on the same date. Features that select menus will allow not only the date but also the meal time as selectors.
  The meal time is a drop-down list containing a fixed set of options.

The system will not prevent you from entering more than one menu with the same title, date or meal time. However, to make your life easier in identifying specific menus, it is important to be reasonably clear with you menu title what it represents.

You can return to the menu at any time and change the title, date or meal time if necessary.

Note that if you have opened a menu from the Set cookbook you will not be able to change anything.
